All that glitters is not gold, it's diamonds

Check it out newbies. Educate yourself a bit kids. You NEED to know this to defend your arguments in the real world. Enjoy and appreciate what the older gays have done for you. 

Well, apparently the National Organization for Marriage seems to NOT want gay marriage passed and has their new golden boy: delightfully homophobic and ignorant fool David Tyree. Yes, of football fame, i guess. I’m not one to watch football often, but this isn’t helping the sports’ cause. It never ceases to amaze me that people keep making these types of comments before speaking to a PR representative. The shit this man is about to deal with is going to be a firestorm. 

I’m severely offended by this portion of the article:

He also argued that same-sex parents are ill-equipped to raise a child of the opposite sex.

“You can’t teach something that you don’t have,” Tyree said in the video. “So two men will never be able to teach a woman how to be a woman.”

I can’t believe people look up to this fool as some sort of hero. Should I choose to have a child with my partner I can sure as hell tell you that I’d know how to raise a child damn well, especially if its a girl. I’ve had not only the best family through my friends and support by my own family, I know for a fact that I’d be able to teach my daughter the necessary life lessons needed to be a strong independent PERSON AND WOMAN. Being a confidant, best friend, and son to women all my life, I think I’m more capable and equipped to parent any child, someday. Well, maybe someday, depending on if laws are made to ‘make gay people steril’. Sounds messed up, right?  Well, it’s not that far off since our basic rights to marry, adopt children into a loving home and family; and even in some places hold a parade are being taken away. The world is either ambivalent to homosexuality or downright against it, it seems. Times are changing, but when are people going to realize that the civil rights movement was over thirty years ago, get with the program. Most of the lawmakers today were a part of that culture and livelihood to support civil rights for all…..what happened to your original ideal, folks, get a little lost in the GOP?

You are being belittled and threatened by a voice that thinks it’s bigger than your own. Share your discord and remind these people that what they say, they will be accountable for.
